I am a native Wilmingtonian and have enjoyed watching the port city of Wilmington grow. I love it here so much that I am planning on being here forever! You really have found a tiny piece of heaven if you are considering a move here or investing in the area. As I began college at UNC-Wilmington, I was fortunate enough to land a job with Piedmont Airlines and this helped support me while I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. I met my husband during this time of working and going to college. We were engaged a few years before getting married and enjoyed traveling around for free. I had 3 dachshunds which he inherited and they kept us quite busy. Soon after we started our family and today we have been blessed with three beautiful, talented and sweet little girls.....Savannah, Keeley-Shea and Claire-Emma. Our family still has a love for dachshunds. Currently we have Maggie-May (one of the original ones, now 16 years), and Chester a dachshund mix, age 2. Just recently, we were fostering a boston terrier, that we have now adopted and her name is Cruella or Ella for short.

The real estate industry provides me great joy in assisting others whether they are buying or selling. A native Southerner, I have lived in several states before being able to "retire" back in the South. My Husband and now 2 young adult daughters moved to the beautiful Wilmington area in August of 2003. I fell into my Real Estate Career by accident, simply by trying to get one of my Jazzercise Customer's back into class. I started working for Pam Wooddell, Owner of Live Oak Real Estate, and my Jazzercise Customer in April of 2006 answering the phones and filing 4 years ago when she lost one of her employees to a move. Answering the phones and filing was just the first week, and the rest as the say is History. This experience on the administrative side of the company has been invaluable. I have learned from one of the most knowledgeable companies in the Country, especially when it comes to Foreclosures and Short Sales.

My hobbies include, teaching Jazzercise, gardening (better known as weed pulling), going to the beach, my adorable dogs, Maxi and Mini and spending as much time as I can laughing with friends and family.

I grew up in the small town of Wilson NC. I've been in the business for 4 years and some change and I take pride in finding people their dream homes. I have integrity and I'm very reliable. When I'm not working I enjoy wakeboarding and spending time with my son & family.

Walt spent 20 years in the automotive business, as a technician, body man,
parts and service. Licensed in 1996, he is 'out in the field' more than
anyone else at Live Oak as he makes sure that all work on all properties
is being done correctly and to client specifications. When he's not
driving all over North Carolina in his Ford diesel truck, he enjoys golf
and kayaking, as well as playing with his 3 grandsons.

Originally from New York, I am what you refer to as a half back. I grew up in New York, lived in Florida for 13 years and have now moved half way back to Wilmington NC. I have been a resident of Carolina Beach and Wilmington for the last 15 years. I started my real estate career over 30 years ago in Florida and have experience in selling homes, resort properties, and vacant land. I am Live Oak's Sales Manager as well as NC Real Estate Commission approved Instructor, teaching agents and clients brings me a lot of satisfaction and enjoyment. Personally, I enjoy my grown son, Shawn and my two rescue dogs, Romeo and Juliet. I can be found me at Thalian Hall, helping people to their seats or UNC-W listening to any of their live performances, I feel very fortunate to have an abundance of art to choose from in Wilmington.

Live Oak Real Estate's original YANKEE! My husband and I moved down from rural Flemington, NJ almost twelve years ago. We thought we came for the beautiful beaches and weather, but were blessed with so many warm and dear friends ... from work, church and neighbors. We now reside in Leland, NC, just over the Cape Fear River from Wilmington.

My education background started with a college degree in elementary education and now concentrates on the many facets of real estate. I've

And I love finding and negotiating great deals on rental and investment properties for my clients. Focused on real estate for over six years, my specialties include foreclosed properties, short sales, existing home sales, new home construction, and vacation properties.

My family and I (which includes 2 horses, 3 dogs and little ole me) live on a small farmette outside of Fayetteville. You can often find me riding my white horse through the fields around my home. Prior to real estate, I was a professional photographer and my photos have been published in eight national magazines. Still an avid photographer, my photography skills and experiences help me to effectively market homes for sale. I am a graduate of High Point University where I majored in business/marketing.

My name is Chris Birdyshaw, but you can just call me Bird. I have been vacationing with my family at Wrightsville Beach my entire life and always wanted to live here. I can rememeber being 12 years old and begging my parents to sell our house in Kernersville and move to the beach. Needless to say, that didn't happen so when it came time to apply to college there was really only one choice, UNCW. I made the trip down I-40 from Kernersville in 1998 never to return.

I met a pretty girl from New Jersey the first day of school and after a few years of persistance she finally went out with me, the rest is history. We absolutely love living here and plan to never leave. We have saltwater in our veins! We boat, surf, golf, and are total beach bums when we're not working. We both work hard, but try to play hard too!

I chose to enter the real estate industry in 2005 because I have always been facinated with houses. I also really enjoy meeting and helping people. I love what I do and some people would even say I am pretty good at it as well! I have the privilage of helping others discover what makes this area so very special and then get to help them find that perfect place to call home.
